Leaf analysis

The analysis of plant tissues, in particular of leaves, is an indispensable tool for diagnosing nutritional deficiencies and excesses to make it possible to correctly assess the conditions of crops.

Our advice is to take the sample during the vegetative or productive phase of the crop. Correct sampling is essential because the analysis results represent as much as possible the average of the values of the examined crop. The main rules for a correct withdrawal are:

LEAVES MUST BE COLLECTED FROM AT LEAST 5-10 PLANTS.

THE NUMBER AND THE POSITION OF THE LEAVES TO BE SAMPLED IS DEPENDENT ON THE TYPE OF PLANT, IT IS ADVISABLE TO CONTACT THE LABORATORY TO BE PROVIDED WITH THE SPECIFIC COLLECTION METHODS FOR THE CULTURE.

LEAVES DAMAGED BY CLIMATE OR MECHANICAL EVENTS MUST NOT BE TAKEN.

PLASTIC BAGS CAN BE USED TO CONTAIN SAMPLES.

THE SAMPLE MUST BE DELIVERED TO THE LABORATORY IN SHORT TIMES, OTHERWISE IT CAN BE STORED IN THE REFRIGERATOR AT 5 ° C AND DELIVERED WITHIN 48 HOURS.
